A blogging tradition in genealogy is Footnote Maven's Blog Caroling. I am going to enter a Christmas carol I learned in high school when our choir decided to present an international program of carols at our Christmas Eve service. We sang "Adeste Fideles" in Latin, "Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht" in German, sang "Jeannette Isabella" but not in French (we didn't have the words in French), and we sang this Spanish carol, "Pastores a Belén" (Shepherds to Bethlehem).

There is a carole we sang in our Spanish class which I loved. The first stanza of your version is much the same except the shepherds went to visit "el nino"
The second verse was quite different and it has been many, many years since I took Spanish so I'll just say it had words something like "Alli, alli, nos convida? su luz (repeated) llevemos ... turrones y miel para offrecer al (el?) nino Manuel.
If you know the words to this verrsion, I would really like to have them and sing it along with other songs of the season. My e-mail address is on my blog's personal page.
Happy Blogiversary Vanilla Milk sounds good. It might be as good as Bread and Milk. I'm retired as well and keep busier than ever doing Family History mostly, and sometimes following my ancestors and their descendants around the country.. Maybe we should follow each other.
